Elizabeth J. Rest Named as a Top Attorney in WIPR’s Influential Women in IP 2026

Crown^®, LLP Principal and Co-Founder Elizabeth J. Rest has been recognized by World IP Review (WIPR) as one of its Influential Women in IP 2026, a highly competitive list that includes the top women Intellectual Property attorneys worldwide from private practice, in-house legal teams, academia and public institutions operating at the peak of the legal profession, navigating complex matters with profound commercial consequences.

“I am incredibly honored to be included among so many accomplished women who are shaping the future of intellectual property,” said Elizabeth.  “It is rewarding to be recognized for my work protecting the intellectual property of growing consumer brands worldwide. As markets become more competitive and intellectual property risks increase, protecting trademarks and copyrights is essential for brands to secure their rightful revenue and market share.”

Elizabeth helps consumer brands in the food, beverage, confectionary, fashion, and cosmetic industries protect their intellectual property as they grow and expand into new markets. Her work focuses on trademark, copyright, licensing, and intellectual property strategy. She manages complex international trademark portfolios spanning more than 50 jurisdictions, leveraging a worldwide team of experts.  She also represents clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in UDRP proceedings.

Partnering with mid-size companies, Elizabeth’s work includes negotiating collaboration agreements between well-known brands and co-branding deals with major motion picture studios, and developing successful worldwide anti-counterfeiting programs that have halted massive infringements that were costing key clients millions of dollars in revenue.

The WIPR list of Influential Women in IP includes women worldwide who are driving innovation, advancing intellectual property rights, and making a lasting impact across the profession, and whose leadership is advancing the practice and business of intellectual property worldwide. The honorees are selected through a rigorous process that includes nominations, independent research, and evaluation by WIPR’s editorial team. In recognizing Elizabeth as one of the only 127 women worldwide selected in 2026, WIPR also highlighted her leadership in growing Crown^®, LLP, including the firm’s 2024 acquisition of IP boutique Evoke Law, which expanded Crown’s capabilities and strengthened its presence in California’s intellectual property market.

The WIPR recognition adds to a growing list of honors for Elizabeth and Crown. Elizabeth was named to the Northern California Super Lawyers Intellectual Property list earlier this year for the 13^th consecutive year.  She was recognized as a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer by the Daily Journal in 2025, alongside fellow Crown Principal and Co-Founder Owen Seitel. Crown was also selected for inclusion in the Chambers USA Spotlight Guide 2026 for the second consecutive year, based on the firm’s recognition by its peers and colleagues as leaders in intellectual property law.
