Crown, LLP Principal and Founding Partner Elizabeth J. Rest has been selected for inclusion on the Northern California Super Lawyers 2025 list in her primary area of practice, Intellectual Property. This is Elizabeth’s 12th consecutive appearance as a Super Lawyer.
“The field of IP is ever changing and growing. There are novel issues that arise that require me to continuously expand my knowledge and grow as a lawyer, which makes my practice so fun,” said Elizabeth. “I have deep passion for the creative industries, so being able to blend my trademark, copyright, and entertainment law practices is fulfilling work. Being recognized by my peers as a top IP attorney is a great compliment, and I’m deeply honored.”
Northern California Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service and publication, selects outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas through a rigorous, multifaceted nomination process that encompasses a statewide survey of lawyers, detailed peer review and extensive research of each candidate. The objective of the selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that may be used as a resource to assist in the search for legal counsel. Only five percent of the Northern California Bar received the distinction.
Elizabeth’s clients look to her for trademark and copyright strategies to help them select, protect, and enforce their intellectual property and to guide healthy growth both domestically and internationally. A true business partner to her clients, she is deeply invested in their success and operates as an extension of their teams, proactively advising on ways to enhance their brand value in areas where their IP needs and business needs intersect. While her overall portfolio is industry agnostic, her specialty lies in advising those companies within more creative industries, such as specialty foods, clothing/apparel, cosmetics, and entertainment.
In addition to Super Lawyers, Elizabeth was named a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer for 2025 by the Daily Journal, alongside fellow Crown Principal and Founding Partner Owen Seitel. The firm was also selected for inclusion in the inaugural Chambers Spotlight Guide 2025 for California as one of California’s leading Intellectual Property law firms
